Ecosh LION’S MANE – Mushroom Capsules

Lion’s Mane (Hericium erinaceus), based on Estonian raw material, is an edible mushroom of the tooth fungus family, used in traditional Chinese practice as a general tonic and widely known for its traditional use in supporting focus and mental clarity.

The lion’s mane mushroom (Hericium erinaceus) is an edible mushroom native to Europe, North America and Asia. It can be recognised by its long (over 1 cm) hanging spines, its occurrence on deciduous trees, and the way its spines grow in clusters, rather like a cauliflower. Lion’s mane is known in traditional herbal practice, and its fruiting body can also be made into delicious dishes. Lion’s mane is also consumed in the form of elixirs and powders.

In traditional Chinese practice, lion’s mane is used as a general tonic, as it is considered nourishing to all five internal organs – the liver, spleen, lungs, heart and kidneys. The mushroom has also been called a source of Qi, or “life force”. Buddhist monks are known to have used powdered lion’s mane to enhance their concentration during meditation.

Lion’s mane mushrooms contain two special groups of compounds – hericenones and erinacines – which are the subject of ongoing scientific interest.

Ecosh Lion’s Mane food supplement contains both mushroom extract and mushroom powder grown right here at the Estonian Mushroom Farm! Each Lion’s Mane capsule contains 250 mg of lion’s mane extract and exactly the same amount of our own Estonian mushroom powder.

Why did Ecosh choose lion’s mane from the Estonian Mushroom Farm for its supplement?

Although it would be cheaper to order lion’s mane powder from China, Ecosh decided in favour of a more expensive domestic raw material, and the reason is simple.

The closer the raw material comes from, the fresher and more familiar it is to us!

Not only are gourmet and edible mushrooms grown in Estonia at the Estonian Mushroom Farm – they are also grown on Estonian raw materials. This means that the substrate the mushrooms love to grow on also comes from Estonia (wood industry residues – sawdust – and grain harvest residues – straw). The mushroom bags are also made from start to finish in Estonia.

The lion’s mane mushrooms mature under a watchful eye in thermal containers in Kullamaa, Lääne-Nigula parish.

The mushrooms are grown with the same care and cleanliness that is characteristic of our culture!

INGREDIENTS: lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus) fruiting body powder, lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus) fruiting body extract 10:1 (contains 30% polysaccharides), glazing agent: pullulan (plant-based capsule).

DIRECTIONS: 1 to 2 capsules a day with food.
