Shungite Gravel for the Sauna Stove 1.5 kg

Shungite chips for the sauna heater, 1.5 kg.

Shungite is an ancient, carbon-rich black stone found mainly in Karelia, around Lake Onega. It has been known in local folk tradition for more than three centuries – in old times it was called “aspid stone”, the black stone.

Shungite withstands heat well and is suitable as the top layer on sauna heater stones. The dark stone gives your heater a distinctive look and a soft steam.

How to use

Rinse the chips with water before use to remove dust. Let them dry and place them on top of the heater stones. A slight odour may appear during the first heating – heat the sauna once empty and air it before the first steam.
