Shungite Chips with Flint and Crystals approx. 500 g

Shungite chips can be used, for example:

1. for preparing water
2. for foot massage
3. for preparing drinking water for pets
4. in flower pots
5. in the water of cut flowers

When preparing drinking water, it is recommended to replace the shungite chips after 4–6 months.

The perfect combination: shungite, flint, quartz and pink sand for preparing water. Place the chips in a glass container with 1–6 litres of water (spring or tap water) poured over them and leave covered with gauze for 48 hours in a cool, shady place – no more than 30 minutes in the sun! Pour the water into a separate glass container with a lid for drinking, compresses, cooking, etc. Use for drinking within 24 hours. The storage time can be extended by 3–5 days by placing a small piece of (crystal) shungite at the bottom of the carafe. Pour new water over the chips straight away. NB! At least 2–3 times a month: after pouring off the drinking water, add 2–3 teaspoons of baking soda to the chips, fill halfway with water and leave for 3 hours, stirring occasionally with a wooden stick; then let it settle, carefully pour off the water, add fresh water, let it settle again and pour this water off too; then leave the chips without water for 1–2 days outdoors on a stone, in the ground, on stone steps, on a balcony or on a window ledge in a fine metal mesh or a small bag. The chips can be used for preparing drinking water for approx. 6–12 months, depending on the quality of the tap water. After that they can still be used externally (for compresses, baths, watering plants, as fertiliser, etc.).

Records of shungite go back more than 3 centuries – at that time the mysterious mineral was called the aspid stone (black stone). The first so-called official mention dates from the early 17th century and is associated with Tsaritsa Marfa Ivanovna.

Shungite is a carbon-rich mineral with sorbent properties, and shungite filters have been produced for water treatment since 1991.
