Cosmetic use

• Soothing: Sea buckthorn contains phenolic compounds and phytochemicals that help calm and soothe the skin.

• Moisture and protection: Omega-3, -6 and -7 fatty acids help moisturise the skin and support the skin’s barrier function. Rapeseed oil further enhances this by providing monounsaturated fatty acids that help the skin retain moisture.

• Vitamin E and antioxidants: Vitamin E (tocopherols) contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Sea buckthorn oil also contains carotenoids, natural antioxidants.

Food use and nutrition

• Rich in vitamin E: Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

• Healthy fats: Rapeseed oil contains plenty of monounsaturated fatty acids (omega-9). Replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats in the diet contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels.

• Source of beta-carotene: Beta-carotene is a source of vitamin A, which contributes to the maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes.

Directions:

Internally: 2–3 dessertspoons a day before meals. Externally: apply sea buckthorn oil to the areas in need or use compresses soaked in the oil.
