FOLIC ACID

contributes to normal blood formation and supports normal psychological function and the normal function of the immune system. In addition, folic acid contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Folic acid belongs to the B-vitamin group and works in synergy with other B vitamins – especially vitamin B12. Although folic acid is found in many foods, it is easily lost from the body. Some sources also refer to folic acid as a “brain vitamin”.

Groups at higher risk of folic acid deficiency include pregnant women, older people, people who drink excessive amounts of alcohol, and people suffering from fatigue and tiredness.
