Wool protection product. Woollen products lose lanolin protection after washing, which is why it is necessary to replenish lanolin regularly. The best way to do so is with our disana lanolin treatment. It is made up of liquid lanolin and dissolves easily in lukewarm water. After washing, the woollen product is placed in a bowl with the lanolin treatment. The wool fibres absorb the lanolin again and the woollen product is protected against dirt and dryness.
Lanolin is a natural wax produced by sheep. Lanolin’s role in nature is to protect wool and skin against the ravages of climate and the environment. It is frequently used in protective baby skin treatment and as a treatment for sore nipples in breastfeeding mothers.
To wash fabric nappies take 2 tbs of lanolin per 1L water. Dissolve in hot water, wait until the water cools 30C, add woollens. Use about every 4 washes.
To wash your woollen clothes take 1 ts of lanolin per 1L water.
Rather use less than too much – otherwise your woollens may get too greasy.
