Jojoba oil is one of the most remarkable natural ingredients in skin care – and the reason is simple: technically speaking, it is not an oil but a liquid wax. This difference is not merely chemical; it is precisely this property that makes jojoba so stable and light, and ensures its excellent compatibility with human skin.

Why skin loves jojoba oil:

They used it to soften the skin, protect the hair and soothe irritation.

When whaling was banned in the 20th century and the production of spermaceti (whale wax) used in cosmetics and lubricants was prohibited, industry discovered that jojoba oil was an excellent natural substitute – it offered similar properties but was plant-based and fully renewable. Since then, jojoba has been one of the world’s most sought-after cosmetic ingredients.

How to use

Face and body:

Apply a small amount to the ends or along the full length as a mask before washing. Leave on for 15–30 minutes or overnight, then wash your hair as usual.

Lips and cuticles:

Apply a small amount to the driest areas for quick nourishment.

Massage:

Thanks to its stability and light texture, it is an ideal base oil – used on its own or as a carrier oil for essential oils.

DIY cosmetics:

An excellent base for making natural creams, serums, balms and soaps.
