Black cumin (Nigella sativa) is a flowering plant grown especially in the Orient and Asia, where the growing conditions are ideal, particularly in sunny regions. It is characterised by poppy-like capsules that form after flowering. These contain dark seeds – black cumin. Black cumin is harvested from midsummer. It is not related to the caraway we know.

Use:

Vitaquell organic black cumin seed oil is ideal for seasoning salad dressings or simply drizzled over a slice of bread. Let its intense flavour inspire you!

Our tip: add a few drops of black cumin seed oil to your favourite salads or a fresh vinaigrette for an aromatic finishing touch.

When stored cool, the oil may become cloudy due to its fat content; this is not a quality defect. Protect the oil from light and heat. After opening, keep refrigerated and use promptly.
