Description:

Mung beans are also known as green gram beans and have been cultivated for over 1,000 years. The seedlings of mung beans (mung sprouts) are another well-known foodstuff. Our organic Fairtrade mung beans are untreated and germinate very easily. Our mung beans are a warm green colour, with occasional yellowish-green nuances. The beans are oval in shape and range from 2 to 5 x 3 to 4 mm in size (pea sized).

Mung beans are just what you need for a healthy diet, providing your body with all the good things described above.

The beans are full of flavour, yet mild in taste. There is only a minimal proportion of broken pieces in our mung beans and they are very pure, having been cleaned carefully several times.

The farmers are part of a large Fairtrade community made up of 3 groups, Dustkul Bogi, Turkiston Gulba and Turob Bobo. 1,000 farmers and their families belong to the community.

By working with Fairtrade, the farmers can provide their families with a secure income and offer their children new opportunities.
