From the fifth month onwards it is a basic component of baby- and infant nutrition. It is vital to use the right oil especially because of the two polyunsaturated fatty acids: Linoleic acid (omega-6) and linoleic acid (omega-3). These acids play an essential role for the development of brain- and nerv cells during infancy. In the first two years of life the brain grows and matures very rapidly and therefore regularly needs omega-3 fatty acids. Moreover the oil helps improving the body`s reception of liposoluble vitamins.
