This treatment contains 30% lanolin and can use used for impregnating nappy covers or other wool items in order to waterproof them. You can also add it to your normal wool wash to replenish the lanolin, keeping your woollens soft and conditioned.
For soaking nappies, dilute 4 desertspoonfuls in very hot water first (do not add lanolin to your products that are already soaking) and once dissolved add some cold water to bring the temperature down to blood temperature or lukewarm.
Swirl the nappies through and squeeze a few times to distribute evenly, then squeeeze out excess water with a towel and dry flat. Nappies can be soaked in lanolin for an hour or more if you wish.
For general conditioning of woollens, discolve first in hot water then add a little to the conditioner tray of your washing machine or use in the final rinse when hand washing.
